Book It With Bolvair
I have finally figured out how to do a newsletter!! *Gasp* < I know, right? If any of you want to sign up, just follow the contact link in the top navigation bar and it should be there... along with a million other ways to find me. I'm all over the place!
Tonight, on his way home, my hubby asked me if I wanted hot chocolate. (Who says no to that?)
And of course I said yes.
He asked, "what size?"
My reply, "The biggest they got."
He was silent for a moment then responded. "Is that how you chose me?"
*Smack my head* I needed to think this through, because it's not all about the package, (Unless it was hot chocolate) So I responded, "I love you for your mind, not your.. um package, that was just a bonus." < See? I can totally work this in my favor.
His response: "Dido."
Now I paused. "Wait, your not attracted to me?"
He laughed. "I'm just sayin' what you're sayin', sweetheart. Of course I'm attracted. Wait, were you saying you're not attracted to me?"
Damn. Things just got complicated. That was SO not what I meant. I was teasing.
I bunched up my big girl thong and replied honestly, "You are my stud-muffin, and I am one-hundred percent attracted. Now, can I get a large hot chocolate?"
He replied, "You and your hot chocolate."
And I was saved. All was right in the world.
The point of this long drawn out message with a glimpse into my life is: this is where inspiration comes from. That, and my twisted mind. Welcome to my nonsense.
Happy Holidays and I hope you all get hot chocolate! Unless you're allergic, then I take it back.
So, I didn't get much done today. Well, writing that is. I did do the laundry I had neglected for weeks, cleaned my children's bedroom, and had some inspiration.
The thing about inspiration, it always comes at a moments notice and almost always rudely departs just as quickly.
I've had inspiration moments where my phone wasn't on me (I've learn that my phone should never leave my side), another time where all my pens and pencils have somehow found other homes (I swear, I'm not that abusive to my writing utensils. They can just get a little dramatic.), and lastly the dreaded no paper.
During these times, I have resorted to using napkins and crayons, whiteout and my child's artwork (shhh, don't tell), yelling my inspiration at another person to remember WITH me. (Very important. Two minds are better than my finicky one), and lastly, writing my inspiration in my shower steam on my shower glass wall.
Yes, I have done all of these, and possibly more than that, but I shall not name them.
At least I HAVEN'T ripped out the sole of my shoe in lulu of paper! See? Not completely crazy. *Wink*
So my Peeps, I had inspiration today. I will not tell you what it is, but I will tell you, it's gonna be good.

Ash In The Blood
Lyn Forester's Ashe In The Blood is a great combination of Syfi and Mystery that keeps you turning her pages with suspenseful excitement of what is to come next.
Reagan again is on the move to figure out a murder and where the drug 'Ashe' is being dispersed in deathly quantities. As she and Drake work together, their relationship unfolds into a friendly one with fresh, amusing banter. (The kind you'd witness between two close siblings)
More of the mystery unfolds and possibly a love interest for Reagan???
Not only that, Ms. Forester slips in personal information on Reagan that gives you pause. Who is she really?
As Drake draws closer to his tight-lipped partner, his attention always seems elsewhere, and he's finally able to catch Reagan off kilter.
I highly recommend this book for wonderful world building and well-rounded characters that offers plenty of elements for everyone!
